I can't believe that the Pen doesn't have scaled plans of the venue. Argh. How do they do layouts? Bara bara lang? I had to redraw the plan using a few actual measurements for reference (I have half a mind to send someone from the office to do a full site measurement...but this isnt really office work)

And here I am an architect, and I cannot figure out how to lay out the Conservatory. I think I'll delegate (hah!) and leave it to Jo and Tita Boots (florist)

We've gotten a few invitations na and are picking up the rest tomorrow. I am not too happy about the lining color, and Jo and I have had long discussions on this.... Well, he got to pick the final color. Not bad, but could have been a lot better. Compromises. Compromises.

I've gotten a copy of the Marriage License as well (pa picked it up from QC Hall). I'll fill it up tomorrow and have Ods (our office lawyer) notarize. Then off it flies to SF, where Jo will sign and go to the Phil. Consulate to get it notarized din.

Claudine, our AE, is going to book the rooms na rin. Salamat Claudine. So, its a suite and 2 rooms the day before the wedding (rooms for Jo and entourage), and a room for me and Jo the day of the wedding.

We've also set a final food tasting for next Wednesday. We'll skip the beef (it truly sucks and we're not going to spring for Angus or USDA beef).

We'll be trying 3 main courses:


We'll pick one chicken dish and serve the fish as an alternate (for the old and infirm, or the maarte hehe)

We'll also need to confirm layouts, number of supplier and kiddie meals, free corkage, which room we'll use for the studio set-up and other details such as color of tablecloths, set-up time....

Ano pa ba? Please help me and tell me if I've forgotten anything.

The stinger is that I may not even make it to the meeting. We've got a final meeting with a potential client this Wednesday, and I need to be there for negotiations. Shit shit shit. Work isn't being very cooperative nowadays.

We are still trying to see which mobile to hire. I am pretty sure I want laid back music...something a bit upbeat, not mushy, something like the soundtrack of Kill Bill, or So I married an Axe Murderer, or True Romance (hey...see the trend hahahah). Lou Reed, Nancy Sinatra, some Tom Jones (heheh), really a mishmash of songs we like. Joel's trying to compile the songs, and worst case is Berty can make the playlists.
