Dresses

I've never had the desire to walk down the aisle in a white gown. In fact, in high school, my dream wedding dress was a red qipao with really high slits on both sides, which I would wear together with shiny black thigh-high stiletto-heeled boots. Very S&M diba? Of course, the preparations would then involve major buttkilling gym workouts as (1) qipao's are not forgiving (2) my legs can at best be called sturdy.

12 years after Highschool

I had a clear idea of the look I wanted and felt that it would be better to work with Tita Mila than with a designer. I was a bit worried that collaborating with the designer would be a battle of wills, and I really wanted to get through the preps with as little pain as possible. Tita Mila is really sweet, and I feel that she understands what I want with my dress. :)

We bought the cloth for the dresses approximately 3 weeks after Joel and I decided to get married {talk about excited heheh).

Entourage Dresses

The entourage dresses will be in chiffon. Pia (sister/MOH) will have a dress in carnation pink, while the BM's - Ling (Sister) and Erika (Partner-in-Crime) - will have theirs in what I would describe as an apple-ish shade of green.

We've got to finalise the design of the MOH / BM dresses, but I think that they would be very pretty if they had a top portion similar to this:

My turn

Mai 01

I like Mai 01 but the construction is pretty tricky. My aunt explained how she was going to get the ruffles done but I zoned out somewhere between bias cut and individual ruffles hehe. She's making a mock dress which I should get to try in the next couple of months so we'll see how that goes.

Mai 02

Mai 02 is also very nice, and I think it may be easier to make.

The fabric for my dress is silk chiffon. Tita Mila calls the color Blush, and its a very muted shade of pink. It's the color of pink in powder form.

Not exactly my red dominatrix dress anymore, my tastes have matured a little. :)
