The Guest List and a Pangitain
Ok, done with the first draft of the guest list. With an estimated 10 wedding suppliers / vendors, we have come up with a total of 133 guests. I believe the Conservatory can comfortably seat 150 guests so Joel can add more to his list.
I always get amazed to see the number of friends we've invited. They hardly come up to 30 - thats 3 tables worth of friends for Jo and me. My mom has more friends on her list than I do.
There are SOME extenuating circumstances. I've had the same batch of friends through elementary school, high school, college, up to today; and about half of my friends are not in-country. I have to admit I'm not the most personable character as well, heeh. I am now seriously considering not having the conventional bouquet toss as there would be a total of 10 single women catching the bouquet, assuming all of those invited attend the wedding. I think I would rather give it to my lola :)
Plus, I'm a bit bothered because I got upset when Jo told me na the way I arranged the guest list file was too complicated. Siempre, eto naman ako explaining my multiple columns, etc etc etc, until he said, Tama na, sya na daw mag-aayos. Haaay. I think it was a pretty good setup as I had parts for number of invitations, number invited, number actually attending etc etc etc. (I attribute this to my being a project manager, I like crossing all the T's and dotting all the I's.) I think I should have hidden those columns muna :S
I got a bit pissed at first, especially as I had spent some time din figuring out how to format my tables logically. Joel naman asked why I had to be so stubborn, when he specifically asked if I could format it simply. True naman, he did ask. I think I've got to adjust my way of doing things din.
Still,it's not easy .
