Lola
and Ita
My mom-side lola died last Thursday. It really wasn't much of a surprise because she's been really sick and in and out of the hospital this last year, but of course we were still sad when it finally happened.
Lola was buried yesterday, and during the eulogy given by my oldest cousin I got a bit weepy. Mom looked really upsed and couldn't stop crying during the last viewing. I got a bit worried nga kasi she seemed like she would have some sort of attack. But after Lola was in the ground na, we stayed at the cemetery for quite a while longer telling funny stories about Lola (who was a sweet, but sometimes strange and funny woman).
It's really strange though, because when I was looking at Lola I was trying to remember her as she was when we were younger....and then then thought back from that pa, na she was once like me..young (well not so young heeh), and confused, and in love, and hopeful...and probably wondering how her life would be...

I know this is getting a bit silly, but we have another new cat. We named it Ita, and IMO he's a boy. We would see Ita and his sister (?) at the wake - they looked abandoned by their momcat, but apparently the sister died the night before Lola's burial, and Ita was left alone crying. Pa took Ita and left him in a cage right outside our office door.
Ita is very whiny, and surprisingly feels right at home. He slept in a cushioned basket the night we got him. No being pakipot for this guy.
