Liempo o liempo




The best Inihaw na Liempo I have ever tasted.

Countryside Restaurant Katipunan Ave (along BlueRidge). So it's a bit of a dive. You won't care once you start eating.

Berts and I were eating there in the middle of the night when a crazy guy walked into the roofed dining area and started babbling, making weird motions, and grabbing the tips left by other diners. Most people left and I was considering jumping over the low wood fence that separated the dining area from the sidewalk.

M: (speaking softly without opening mouth) Berts, bertsssss...the crazy guy is near OMG. Uhhhhhhhhhhh. Whaddoooweeeddoooo. Ahhhh he's right next to us. I know...lets jump over the fence and run to the car.

B: What???! And leave our Inihaw????



We stayed. It's that good.

Hi Mai, we're both Melty kiss junkies! Did you know that i's only available in Japan from October to January (winter). Kasi daw they melt easily. My dad sends me home boxes of it when they arrive on the shelves and I eat one a day, kaya hanggang ngayon I still have my supply. Yum!
p.s. By the way, i saw the cute pic of your kitty sniffing the box. Just be careful not to feed it to them, toxic sa cats ang chocolate ):

Yummeh nga ang Inihaw na Liempo nila. We often go there to buy some and eat it sa house na nalang. Madaming tao kasi palagi dun.

Hmmmm...the pic made me hungry,mapadaan nga jan bukas.

Melllllllltttttttyyyyy Kiiisssss is truly a jewel. Even in its Manila form "Melted Kiss" :D

Thankfully I don't have to compete with the cats for the chocs. they're faithful to their kibble and wet food. Pero they never stop swatting the chocs around ayayay I think it's the shiny wrapper that attracts them :P

I asked the guy who cooks what the marinade is and he said salt lang...must try to learn how he does his magic.
