August Wrap-up
Wow. August is over. The wedding is 5 months away.
I think I'm on track with our schedule naman. Pero I always feel na I am forgetting something...

The beef issue needs to be resolved.
Cake
My mom, Erik and I met with Alex last Monday. I got to meet Tin ni RoLand as she had a meeting with Alex before me and we had a bit of a chat (at the smoking balcony heheh), but Tin had to leave din because she was going to RoLand's lola's wake.
We had to wait a bit because merong nakisingit na meeting (humph! SINO sya?) pero after a while we started discussing cakes na.
Would you believe na we ended up with a cake different from the 3 I posted earlier? Hahah! I'll spare you the technical issues pero it had something to do with food-grade metallic paint.
We made a design decision based on this photo.

I think we'll be using mostly roses for our February wedding. Suicide ba? Heheh.
Although it is going to be difficult to get roses so close to Valentine's Day, I think we will be able to work it out. But....the estimated requirement of 110 DOZEN roses is quite daunting. What in the world will be done with 1,320 roses???
I must meet Tita Boots to discuss.
I wouldn't mind using mostly leaves. Really.

I'm visiting Greg Ching to see the MB300 Adenauer tomorrow. Sana everything is ok so I can book the car na.

Last fair coming up this weekend. I am excited to go, as this is supposed to be one of the biggest events. Plus, the Pen Fair chocolate lady will be there. Yum!

The cake will have smooth cream icing with white chocolate trim and gold pearls (I prefer white pearls so I'll go check if this is available at Rockwell, or baka I will forgo the pearls na lang). Alex will use the following for the cascade: roses, green hydrangeas, vines, green grapes (small bunches), and maybe some carnations.
Alex taught me how to cut the cake and made a scaled drawing for reference. I didn't even know there was a proper way to do this. I thought it was just slice slice put on plate gobble gobble.
Alex also gave me a free cake to taste. I took it with me to the gym and my friend Michelle snarfed it quickly. Good thing I had some left to take back to the office. The cake is delicious :D
