This is actually the 2nd time I am making this entry. There was a Firefox error while I was writing the original. And. Everything. I. Wrote. Was. Erased.

Finally set the Prenup Photo / Video Shoot date for Sunday, 13 Feb 2005.
Both Pilar and Bong say that's cutting it kinda close...but what choice have we? Jo's preparing the storyboard(! - nyar, I hope it is nothing too dramatic) and we're thinking of having the shoot at either UP, Intramuros, or La Vista Park.
If Joel really wants to have the prenups in Intramuros, then we would need to move the shoot to 15 Feb, as Pilar says it gets pretty crowded on weekends.
Alex isn't at the salon on Sundays or Tuesdays. I hope I can request for him to come in for the trial makeup.

Speaking of Alex, I got my hair cut and colored by him last Friday. At last, some semblance of style on the horsetail broom I call my hair.
Alex generally maintained the length of my hair, but now it looks like a cut that was meant to be, instead of a pitiful attempt to grow my hair long enough to pull back for the wedding.
I've got highlights now, and am really quite pleased with them. They're a big change from my last highlight job (ash blonde allover color with platinum highlights!!! Imagine? on me, a total Indio??? People would call me "ulo mais" yuk)
Alex said that he would pull my hair back and tie it low, and scatter a couple Swarowski crystal clips around. I also heard him muttering to my hair "please....please....grow" hehehe.
When I got the bill I had a discount of a couple hundred bucks. Ayyy, I love Alex. How wonderful to get a discount when I am cruising on my last money.

I was at Malate yesterday and decided to drop by Firma to check out the stuff. They've got a lot of beautiful bags, shawls, and feather brooches / hairpieces in. I bought a tiny gold beaded bag for the wedding and it is so pretty I can't stop looking at it. It matches the shoes I bought perfectly - both have pale pink beads / crystals on them and they look like they are part of a set. Galing!
I also got a discount from Dennis, one of the owners, because I'm getting married. Woohoo!.
Firma is opening at the 4/F of Rustan's Makati on 01 December so check them out because the new accessories are DA BOMB! Go at once though, as they've only got 2 of each piece.

Berts and I had pasta at Cosa Nostra (4 cheese fettucine for her, spaghetti with anchovies and white truffle oil for me), and decided to head on over to Blue Frog, as Berts was craving for their Roquefort Salad (apples, lettuce, roquefort cheese, walnuts, and grapeseed oil). I ordered a French Onion Soup as I was feeling a bit full already.
They served me a creamy soup, and I was initially suspicious (onion soup? creamy???) but my stomach got the better of me and I tried a bit of it. Yummy! I scarfed it down quickly and was pretty pleased with it. The waiter went near us with a worried face and apologised profusely as it turned out that they had served me the Potato and Leek Soup instead. I said it was ok, as the soup was delicious, but they insisted on giving us a bowl of onion soup free of charge.
We walked around a bit and decided to have dessert and tea at Portico. I tried the Coffee Bean Sans Rival. Holy crap it was a may Diyos moment...the bastard child of their incomparable Coffee Pie and a Sans Rival.
The waitress said she noticed that we always had dessert there, and gave me a discount card. So I left Portico with a happy stomach, and a Gourmand Card in hand :)

My mom picked up the sample rings last Wednesday, as Joel's parents were going to the States and were taking his ring to him to fit.
They're still wrong.
I guess it's pretty hard to work on a description....so I decided to surf the net for an image of what we want.
Is this so hard to get?
Joel, being the 3d graphics guy he is, even came up with a quick rendering
The sample ring fits Jo, but he thinks the 4mm width looks flimsy on his hand. I'll get him a 6mm wide band na lang then.

I've finally completed the invitation wording and entourage list, and Jo got to find the entire Zapfino family.
I feel I'm more OC about the invitations than the wedding dress, as I've spent the last few days thinking about text, fonts, and colors. Berts will work on the layouts tomorrow, and I am quite excited to see how they turn out.

I've asked Jo to buy some streamer throws for the post-ceremony walk. I like them because they're not noisy (like confetti canons), don't involve potentially harming animals (butterflies and doves), and are not hard to clean up after (rice, confetti, petals).
Besides, I haven't seen much of these around, so I think they'll be a refreshing change.

Met Jojit na rin, signed contracts, and gave him our DP. So we now officially have The 3rd Party as our coordinators. I got a list of things to do...dami pa pala :(

I attended my aunt's wedding today. I actually got teary eyed during the ceremony, and couldn't believe Tess wasn't crying while she was walking down the aisle. I think I would be (1) weeping, (2) tottering on my 4-inch heels, and (3) worrying how I would recognize Jo without my glasses.
The reception was short but sweet. (1) Introduction of the Bridal Party, (2) Introduction of the Bride and Groom, (3) Cake cutting and Wine drinking, (4) Dinner, (5) Toasts, (6) Thank yous, (6) First Dance.
The speeches by the mother of the groom and the bride's brother were really touching. The MoG said that they were really happy to welcome Tess to their family as she is a sweet, devoted, religious, smart girl (all of which is true), and the BoB started out with a funny speech but couldn't keep from shedding tears as he said goodbye to his ate and asked the Groom to take care of her.
I noticed that while everyone was dressed for the event, the technicians looked really grubby in their T-shirts and jeans. I think I'll mention this to the coordinators. At the least they should be in button-down shirts and slacks. Or polo barongs.
And from what hole do these surprise photographers come from? You know the ones...the ones who take your photos and sell them at a table outside the reception. Sometimes the photos are just regular shots, sometimes you get tacky ones, with the image superimposed on a glass of wine, flowers, a calendar (gross).
I don't want them at our wedding either. Must mention to Jojit et al, and Claudine.
