Ceremony Venue and Updates
When we had lunch at Joel's house last weekend, Joel's mom asked which church we were considering. Joel has a preference for the F.Manalo locale because it is one of the older churches, and it has air-conditioning. I've never been to this locale, and Joel's mom has said that we should attend service there some time soon.
I also like the Cubao locale, because it's got a curved ceiling and I remember seeing birds flying inside the church when I was there.
But then there's also distance to consider, and although San Juan (F. Manalo) and Quezon City (Cubao) arent THAT far, they're not near either, and I know how horrible traffic can get once 1 or 2 vehicles break down along EDSA.
Bel Air would be good location-wise but it's one of the smaller churches. Ka Helen mentioned Guadalupe so I think we should check that out as well.
Sponsors
We've also finalised our list of sponsors By finalised I mean we now have a final list of who to ask, but we havent asked them yet :(
In alphabetical order
Armando Andaya
Linda Cargo
Nick Lapena (Justice)
Avelino Mangahas, Jr
Dante Manuel
Erlinda Manuel
Mickey Mesch
Becky Posadas
Amedeo Sison, Jr
Charing Sison
Video
Ka Helen would really prefer to have a video and although I am a bit shy about having my cheesiness documented, I'm sure Joel and I will be so preoccupied during the wedding day that we wont be able to really see it in detail.
So I've got to search for more videographers. Jason Magbanua's work is really good but I'm still not sure if we are willing to spend that much. At the minimum I'm hoping for a 2-cam setup using 3ccd cameras, with good lights and mics. Di bale na if the editing is so-so, we're really after the raw footage. Joel or my friends can do the editing.
Food
I've got to schedule the food tasting soon, and need to fax the menus to Ka Helen.
I really need to start working on stuff soon, we've got 6 1/2 months to go!
